goal is to provide (for free) certain speeches relating to alcoholism which are sold elsewhere (on cassette
tape and CD) for a profit. We feature AA ( Alcoholics Anonymous ) and Al-Anon speakers. These
speeches are all in the Public Domain, delivered at Open A.A. and Al-Anon Meetings, and recorded with the
speaker's consent. We will present speeches which are of special interest to alcoholics and their
families/friends. If you, or someone you know, has a desire to stop drinking then you will find these
recordings to be of value. Recovery Radio Network STATIONS ACROSS AMERICA Spencers Recovery gifts Gifts of Recovery Products Hazelden's Serenity Corner Serenity Corner has hundreds of books to read right here. Now! The 12Step Cyber Cafe "The 12Step Cyber Cafe, a place of

Working the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous This is not an official AA document. I attended my first AA meeting in 1974. In 1983, two years sober
after one slip, I made a decision to focus on AA's Basic Text titled "Alcoholics Anonymous". Also known as
the Big Book, it's "clearcut directions" led me to my first actual recovery from substantial "underlying
causes" of drinking and other addictions. After a spiritual and mental foundation was in place, AA and
other literature taught more about effective action in specific situation.
I suggest studying about each step, on at a time, from both books side by side. My directions have
evolved to this point with input from both books. BigBook 95 Recovery Page This page is dedicated to sharing information about alcoholism.
Finding a Support Group For many of us, finding a support group has been the single most important step we have taken in our recovery.
Isolation is one of the most powerful and damaging effects of addiction and abuse. Participating in a support group can
begin to reduce that isolation. It doesn't happen all at once - most of us have learned how to stay isolated even when
we are in groups! But it can happen. And it can be a powerful way to experience God's love and attentiveness to us.
The National Association for Christian Recovery is a network of individuals - not a network of support groups. There
are no "NACR Groups". We do, however, want to assist you in finding a support group that will help you in your
recovery and we hope that the material provided here will give you a good start.
